I have over 30 years experience as a counsellor, and intentionally build trusting, non-judgmental relationships so that change can emerge. I have a Master of Social Work, am registered with the BC College of Social Workers (RSW) and a member of the BC Association of Social Workers.
At the beginning of my career, I worked supporting women with HIV at a time when little was known and treatments were few. Stigma was ever-present, and this work taught me a great deal about the layers of personal, social, and cultural impacts a catastrophic health diagnosis can bring. This work influenced me in my career addressing health, social, political, and gender inequities.
I have specific and ongoing training in trauma informed care, feminist theory, mindfulness-based interventions, self-compassion, and Indigenous Cultural Competency. I have worked in chronic and emergent health care, trauma; mental health, and substance use.

My approach to counselling is based on my values of safety, openness, and being non-judgmental. I encourage the use of respectful and inclusive language. Sessions will provide a space for you to reflect and process.
Feel free to ask any questions you have about the counselling approach or relationship. We can work together to determine the schedule that works best for you.
I gratefully acknowledge that I live and do my work on the unsurrendered Territories of the Coast Salish peoples, including the territories of the x?m??k??y??m (Musqueam), S?wx_wú7mesh (Squamish), and Sel?íl?witulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.
